Berlin, 2008: We’ve just moved in. All the furniture has been delivered and put in place, but the rooms still seem empty and lifeless – bare walls without pictures. We love photography and have worked for years in the field – and we come quickly to a decision: We want to bring our rooms to life with photo art, expressing ourselves and our lifestyle.

With this in mind we took ourselves on a foray through the galleries of Berlin. We found some fantastic pictures, but most of them are just too expensive for what we want. We don’t want to make a financial investment, but to invest in our living quality. Asking friends and acquaintances we hear the same story. With little affordable photo art available, the walls in many living and office spaces remain bare.

Berlin 2009: We bring the company Schoenfeld Berlin to life.
Our idea – we want to bring unique photo art from a range of different photographers and sell them under one label. At Schoenfeld Berlin all our photographers remain anonymous, and reproductions are unlimited. This way we can offer modern, bold photo art at reasonable prices. Photographs which tell a story, photographs which can make us smile or inspire dreams, which impress, or simply look cool.
